Getting here
Thanks to its central location, The Magasinsgatan neigbourhood is easy to reach from anywhere in the city centre. It’s about a 15-minute walk from Gothenburg Central Station, and the closest tram and bus stop is Domkyrkan. It’s also within walking distance of the Market Hall (Saluhallen) and the square Kungstorget.
Did you know?
When Gothenburg was founded in 1621, the street Magasinsgatan was originally called Arentsgatan. Just a few years later, the name was changed after a large grain warehouse (magasin) was built in the area, and the name has stuck ever since.
