Da Matteo
Da Matteo offers Swedish fika with a touch of luxury – home-roasted coffee and homemade pastries. At their outdoor seating areas on Vallgatan and next to Hagabadet you’ll find parasols and infrared heating.
Bee Kök & Bar
Check out Bee Kök & Bar in the market hall Stora Saluhallen for a relaxed lunch or drinl. This is the bar and restaurant where everyone is welcome. Their winter-style open-air seating has awnings, infrared heating and blankets.
Barabicu
Next to the square Esperantoplatsen is popular hangout Barabicu. The panamerican menu offers fish, seafood and grilled meat. Their open-air seating is not huge, but it has infrared heating as well as a roof.

En Deli Haga
In quaint neighbourhood Haga you can enjouy an organic vegetarian lunch at En Deli Haga, with tasty wraps and soups. There are also dairy and gluten free options. The restaurant has a small open-air seating area with sheepskins and blankets.
Café Kringlan
This traditional cafe in the Haga neighbourhood has a few outdoor seats with blankets and awnings. A perfect spot for people-watching.
Champagnebaren
Want something a bit more festive? Head to Champagnebaren, across the street from the Gothenburg Cathedral, and enjoy a champagne lunch outdoors. This year, they have adapted their outdoor seating to the winter season.
Café Italia
If you prefer a waterfront meal, Café Italia in the neighbourhood Eriksberg is an excellent choice. Enjoy pizzas, paninis and more while gazing at the river Göta älv. For dessert there are several Italian favourites to choose from, as well as freshly brewed espresso. Here you’ll find outdoor seats with cushions, blankets and parasols.
Levantine
Go all-in French with a coffee and croissant at the French bistro Levantine next to the park Vasaparken. There are a few outdoor seats with blankets and infrared heating.
Restaurang Olivia
At restaurant Olivia, the menu is all-Italian and inspired by the legendary city of Naples. Outdoors there is a glazed-in section as well as one with parasols and comfy couches.

Da Matteo Magasinsgatan have built an orangery for their guests. A cosy spot to enjoy a Swedish fika, along with views of the square outside.
Villa Belparc
In Slottsskogen city park, you’ll find Villa Belparc that offers wood-fired pizzas, homemade bread and pastries, as well as vegan and vegetarian options. Their popular outdoor seating now has a large heated tent where you can stay warm among blankets and cushions.
Wärdshuset Tullen
For traditional Swedish food and a wide selection of beer, visit Ölstugan Tullen Wärdshuset on the main boulevard Avenyn. Their outdoor seating has plexiglass walls and infrared heating.
Familjen
Modern West-Swedish brasserie Familjen offers outdoor seating with glass walls, infrared heating and blankets.
