The biggest public World Cup screenings and fan gathering spots in Gothenburg are organised by the city. At Ullevi stadium and Ullevi Plaza, you can watch Sweden’s national team matches on big screens, cheer alongside other supporters and experience the tournament atmosphere right in the heart of the city.

Are you visiting Gothenburg during the Men’s FIFA World Cup 2026 this summer? Join the football experience as Sweden’s matches and selected fixtures are shown with free admission across the city. In addition, two World Cup zones will be set up for children and families at Grönsakstorget and in Slottsskogen.
In football-loving Gothenburg, there are also plenty of sports bars and pubs showing World Cup matches live.
Good to know: Sweden games draw a crowd, so book ahead if you want a table. If there is a particular match you do not want to miss, check directly with the bar – smaller pubs may only show selected fixtures.
