Concerts at Ullevi Arena

Summer at Ullevi, the largest arena in the Nordic region, promises world-class musical moments. On 4 July, American country star Luke Combs arrives with his My Kinda Saturday Night Tour. Later in the summer, on 28–29 August, the electronic dance music trio Swedish House Mafia takes over the arena for their biggest concerts in theri careers.

Butterfly Festival is Gothenburg’s new summer festival held at Bananpiren in Frihamnen. On 26–27 June 2026, the festival promises popular artists and DJs across two stage areas, street food from around the world, fairground attractions and a party you won’t want to miss. Confirmed artists include Macklemore, Tom Odell and Alan Walker.

Slakthuset Block Party – urban food and music festival, 16–18 July, 2026

Slakthuset Block Party returns with three days of an urban festival featuring music, food and drinks in the Slakthusområdet district in eastern Gothenburg. This year’s line-up includes The Soundtrack of Our Lives, José González, Hurula, Genom Natten and many more.

Way Out West – music in the park, 13–16 August 2026

The music and film festival Way Out West attracts visitors from across Sweden and around the world every year to the city park Slottsskogen. This year’s line-up includes Gorillaz, Zara Larsson, The Cure, Lorde, The xx, Sombr, Lily Allen, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, and many more.

Ullevi Plaza

Ullevi Plaza, with a total capacity of 8,000 people, is the little sister to Sweden’s largest outdoor arena – an open event space for music, art, sport, markets and community gatherings just outside Ullevi. The summer season begins with the nostalgia festival Walk In, Dance Out on 15–16 May, featuring artists including Bonnie Tyler, followed by the iconic reggae band The Wailers on 24 July.

Concerts at the amusement park Liseberg

At Liseberg’s two live music stages, a summer filled with star performances awaits. Among the artists performing are Rick Astley (22 May), Empire of the Sun (3 June), Brad Paisley (17 June), and Suicidal Tendencies (30 June). Concert tickets cost SEK 75 (park admission or annual pass not included) and can be booked at liseberg.se.

Music summer at Pustervik

A key music venue in Gothenburg is Pustervik at Järntorget – a historic former cinema and theatre that is now a popular concert venue with a capacity of around 900 people.
