Clarion Hotel Draken

On October 1, 2023, the 34-story Clarion Hotel Draken opened by the square Järntorget. Draken is Gothenburg’s tallest hotel and has become a new landmark in the city.

Hotel Draken has 474 rooms and houses the restaurants Brasserie Draken and Heurlin’s bistro, several bars (including a sky bar on the 34th floor) and various conference rooms. The hotel also houses the cinema Draken built 1956, which today is both a lively cultural scene and festival venue for the annual Gothenburg Film Festival.

In early 2024, a brand new spa experience will also open in the hotel for both hotel guests and
Gothenburg locals with inspiration from Japan and elements of the Dragon’s dramatic essence in sculptural elements and in lighting installations.
