Gothenburg Concert Hall is located at Götaplatsen, next to Gothenburg City Theatre, Gothenburg Museum of Art and Hasselblad Center.

This beautiful building from 1935 is home to The National Orchestra of Sweden, Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra. With its 109 musicians, the orchestra performs around 100 concerts each year, often in collaboration with internationally renowned conductors and world-class soloists.

In addition to the symphony orchestra’s concerts, the programme also includes musical guest performances and occasionally lectures. Most concerts are held in the Great Hall, praised for its outstanding acoustics, or in the more intimate Stenhammarsalen auditorium. From time to time, the cloakroom area and the Götaplats foyer are also transformed into temporary stages.

The building also houses an à la carte restaurant, a wine bar, and several foyer bars. All are environmentally certified according to the Swedish Environmental Foundation.
