Welcome to Gothenburg Visitor Centre! We’re located by the square Kungsportsplatsen, right in the heart of the city. Getting to us is easy, as trams, buses, and airport buses conveniently stop right outside.

Gift shop
In our shop, you can find selected souvenirs and lovely gifts from Gothenburg, the Gothenburg archipelago, and Sweden – in all price ranges. We have some locally produced products from the Gothenburg archipelago, as well as Swedish craftsmanship like authentic Dalecarlian Horses from Nusnäs in Dalarna and Ekelunds towels from the linen weaving mill in Horred.
You’re welcome to sit down and take a pause
We offer free Wi-Fi access, and feel free to explore our inspiring brochures about the destination. There’s also room for the children who have their own corner with the theme of Alfie Atkins and Universeum. Take the opportunity to refill your water bottle from our eco-labelled ‘Kranmärkt‘ water tap. We sell refillable bottles if you need one. Gothenburg tap water is pure, tasty, and free!

Visit an InfoPoint in the Gothenburg archipelago
If you’re on the islands, you can get information, maps and brochures about the archipelago by visiting our InfoPoints. They are staffed tourist service points marked with the white/green InfoPoint badge. You’ll find them in a shop, hotel or restaurant, for example. Read more here.
Book an authorized city guide
If you’re interested in booking a guided sightseeing tour, you can contact the two guide associations in Gothenburg. They offer the same services and will be happy to provide you with information and assist you with a reservation.

Get inspiration and ideas as a cruise guest
We’ll meet you by the quay or at the shuttle stop in the city. We’ll answer your questions and tell you what there’s to see and do during your hours in the city. You can also get maps and brochures from us.
Check the brochure stands
There’re roughly 70 brochure stands in the destination that are filled with brochures from players in the hospitality industry. You’ll find them in accommodation facilities, arrival halls, major places of interest and of course here on site.
About us
City Destinations Alliance
Gothenburg Tourist Information Centre is a member of City Destinations Alliance (CityDNA), which is the knowledge sharing network for cities and urban regions in Europe.
Every year, CityDNA organises a TIC Expert Meeting for Tourist Information Centres and their staffs. In 2022 Gothenburg Tourist Information Centre, Göteborg & Co, organised the 9th CityDNA TIC Expert Meeting in Gothenburg, with 46 participating cities from 23 European countries.
TIC Hostmanship Award
CityDNA also organises a friendly competition based on best service in TICs every year, the “TIC Hostmanship Award”. In 2019 Gothenburg Tourist Information Centre won this award. In 2022, Lviv’s Tourist Information Centre in Ukraine won and received the award here in Gothenburg, read more here.
Destination knowledge
Gothenburg Visitor Center at Gothenburg & Co/Besöksservice contributes in various ways to raising knowledge about the destination through, among other things, annual destination training for frontline staffs and authorizations of city guides.
