Enjoy fish and seafood

The classic restaurant Fiskekrogen, which has served fish and seafood to the citizens of Gothenburg since 1972, can be found on the ground floor of the historic Wijkska house (dated 1853) at Lilla torget 1 in the central parts of Gothenburg. On the menu, you’ll find classics such as seafood platter, turbot and witch flounder. Here you can choose between three different menu packages with wine pairings or what you prefer from the à la carte menu.

See a show you won’t forget

A short walk from the early mentioned restaurant takes you to the Göteborg Opera (Gothenburg opera house). Experience world-class art

In the middle of Götaplatsen, at the top of the street Avenyn, you’ll find the Gothenburg Museum of Art, which is one of Sweden’s foremost museums for Nordic art. The collection also includes world-class international art and includes art from the 15th century to the present day from both USA and Europe. Shop in the central parts of Gothenburg

The shopping range in central Gothenburg is large, and there are shops for all tastes. On the corner at the street Kungsgatan 27 you will find, for example, Ströms, which sells classic men’s and women’s wear, and a few streets away you will find exclusive furnishings at Artilleriet on the street Magasinsgatan 19. In the iconic department store Nordiska Kompaniet, located on the street Östra Hamngatan 42, you will find everything for the wardrobe, the kitchen and the bathroom cabinet.

If you wish to have dinner after shopping or the museum visit, you’ll find Restaurant 28+ in the neighborhood Vasastaden. Discover design and fashion history

If you are interested in design and fashion, a visit to the Röhsska museum is a must. The museum’s collection includes approximately 50,000 objects, mainly from Sweden and Europe. Stay in one of Sweden’s oldest hotels

In a grand and well-preserved building at the square Drottningtorget, right next to Gothenburg Central Station, you’ll find Hôtel Eggers. Hotel operations have been conducted here since the building was erected in 1859, and the hotel was given its current name as early as 1894. The hotel is a good starting point for those who wish to discover Gothenburg on foot or by public transport, as a large junction with trams and buses is nearby.
