Archipelago island

Öckerö

The municipality of Öckerö consists of ten inhabited islands.

On Öckerö in the northern part of the archipelago there are bed and breakfasts, hostels and cabins. There is also a pharmacy, post office and a grocery store. The nature on the island invites you to take beautiful walks in the lush greenery by the water. There are also plenty of swimming spots.

By the local folklore centre you’ll find a boat-house, a chicken coop and a barn – a popular spot, among children and adults alike. There are also several places to go for a swim, for example the accessible Hjälvik which offers an access ramp.
