The small park at the street Övre Husargatan was established back in the 1860s as a school garden for the teacher students of that era. The gardening tradition lives on in today’s park, where visitors can stroll among beautiful trees and plants, and in spring, enjoy the spectacular cherry blossom.

In preparation for Gothenburg’s 400th anniversary celebration in 2023, the park underwent a significant renovation to enhance the parks appeal for year-round visists. This included new lighting, fresh plantings, and the addition of a rain pavilion.
