Seafood restaurant
On the jetty on Styrsö, you will find Tångbaren, a restaurant on one of the southern islands in the Gothenburg archipelago. Here, the ingredients from the sea take centre stage and much of the fish and seafood is purchased directly from the island’s own fishing boats. The result is dishes from sea to table without intermediaries.
The menu varies from day to day depending on what has been caught and delivered to the jetty. Classic dishes such as gratinated crayfish and low-temperature cooked cod loin are combined with flavours inspired by cuisines from around the world. You will also find seaweed on the menu.
Seafood and oyster bar
In addition to the restaurant, there is a seafood and oyster bar where you can sit down with something cold in your glass and enjoy the view of the archipelago. Choose from oysters, prawns, crayfish and other delicacies from the sea.
Tångbaren deli
Next door to the restaurant you will also find Tångbaren’s deli. Here you can buy smoked fish, olive oils, tomatoes and other delicacies, as well as top-quality vegetables, fresh bread and a selection of barbecue meats for summer dinners. Ice cream and coffee are also served in the deli. Next to it, there is also a small clothing shop with posters, caps, sweaters and garments from Emmamalena if you would like to take a piece of Tångbaren home with you.
Tångbaren is open during the summer season and operates on a drop-in basis.
