Archipelago island

Vinga

A much loved island, famous for its lighthouse and scenic nature.

Gothenburg’s most westerly point. The childhood home of swedish music legend Evert Taube and well worth a visit for it’s stunning nature.

Due to covid-19 the museum and the lighthouse will be closed during 2020.

The island is well worth a daytrip but is not part of the regular public transport system. Instead you can get here with for example Hönö Tourist & FishingKastor Boat Trips or Marine EventsEvent Yacht Charter all of which depart from Hönö in the northern archipelago, or Strömma whose summer tours to Vinga departs from Lilla Bommen in the city centre.
