There is so much to experience during Kulturnatta that choosing what to do can be pretty mind-boggling. But don’t worry! We’ve picked a few highlights from this year’s programme for you, and they’re all free of charge.

Art: Crossworlds (GIBCA Extended)

Head to the old sugar cane factory in Klippan, Sockerbruket, and check out the works of 12 local artists in Crossworlds. The exhibition is part of the Göteborg International Biennial for Contemporary Art and this special night will also feature some performance art.
7–11 pm, 3:e Våningen, Sockerbruket 9

Film: Ladybug Short Film Marathon

Ladybug Festival highlights equality, human rights and environmental issues, and this year is their 10th anniversary – congrats! Celebrations include a short film marathon at Bio Roy, with contributions from all over the world. Subtitles in English.
8.30–11 pm, Bio Roy, Kungsportsavenyn 45

DIY: Manga Workshop

Always wanted to try manga drawing? Here’s your chance! Jens Isaksson will hold a workshop at Fabrica Japonica where everyone is welcome to participate. If you’re happy with the result you can even be part of an exhibition afterwards.

Music: Palmarum goes Kulturnatta

The beautiful Palm House in The Garden Society is not only a place to admire nature’s beauty. The concert series Palmarum invites you to musical experiences among the palms and exotic plants, and this time you’ll find Anna Ran and her “claustrophobic doomsday pop” on stage.
8 –11 pm, Trädgårdsföreningen, Slussgatan 1

Dance: A Taste of Africa

Catch a taste of Africa (and Swedish fika!) at this dance workshop led by Dias Nsumbu, who will teach a variety of dances from all over the continent. You’ll find the venue just a short walk from the tram stop Angered Centrum.
6.30–8.30 pm, Blå Stället, Angereds Torg 13
