Hidden away in the weaving mill’s old machine room, you’ll find one of Gothenburg’s more unexpected dining experiences. In 2024, Ego Distillers moved in and turned the space into a working distillery with a cocktail bar and restaurant.

The worn factory floor remains, while chandeliers light up the room and soften the raw industrial architecture. In the middle of it all stands the copper still, still warm from the day’s distilling.

The cocktail menu feels carefully crafted without being overcomplicated, built entirely around the house’s own spirits. Reimagined classics sit alongside the bar’s own signature drinks. The same thread continues into the kitchen, where a few drops of absinthe lift the steak tartare, and a compote made from berries previously used to flavour a liqueur is served with the Basque cheesecake.

This is a place for dinner and cocktails, right at the heart of the distillery.
