Flickorna på Färjenäs is located in an old turn of the century building, by the foot of the bridge Älvsborgsbron at Hisingen. Coffee has been served here since 1906, making it one of Gothenburg’s oldest cafés. Much has changed over the years, but the authentic atmosphere remains.
Today, the café is a lively meeting place for families with children, teenagers, seniors, construction workers, tourists and dog owners alike. And the dogs? They’re not just welcome, they’re treated as VIP guests and served homemade dog treats upon arrival. Their owners and other guests can instead choose from breakfast, sandwiches, home-baked goods and afternoon tea at weekends.
