Kajskjul 8 is a meeting place in Gothenburg, combining music, food and entertainment right on the quayside.
The building dates back to 1885, when it served as a cargo warehouse in the port of Gothenburg. Goods were transferred here between ships and railways, at a time when the harbour was a hub of international trade. After years of decline, the building was restored in the 1990s and given new life as a venue for shows and events.
Today, Kajskjul 8 is a destination for both meetings and entertainment in a historic setting. From dinner shows and concerts to stand-up and corporate events, there is a varied programme all year round.
During the summer, Kajskjul 8 transforms into Sommarkajen, a seasonal concept running from June to August. Food and drinks are paired with live music, comedy, quizzes and themed evenings by the water.
