In the middle of the adventure between Liseberg, Oceana and World of Volvo stands Quality Hotel The Book. In the same place where the fantasies of writers once became reality, there now stands a hotel founded on a unique history. Here, families, sports groups and curious explorers meet in a hotel filled with play, comfort and inspiration where every corner offers a touch of historical charm.
The hotel has two buildings where the entrance and lobby take place in the historic property that once housed Rundqvist’s printing house. Next door is a modern 15-storey building that houses the majority of the guest rooms as well as the hotel’s restaurant and bar. The environment is well thought out, warm and welcoming. The interior takes its cue from the character of the old printing house and draws inspiration from the creative expression of the art of printing, combined with a colorful and pattern-rich Nordic maximalism.
Located right next to Liseberg and Oceana water park, within walking distance of the Swedish Exhibition and Congress Centre and Scandinavium, and with World of Volvo as its nearest neighbour, the hotel offers an ideal starting point for discovering the city’s entertainment, events and experiences.
The hotel offers a total of 215 rooms, of which 114 are family rooms for up to four people with a fold-down bunk bed, many with connecting doors that are suitable for sports teams, colleagues, teams and groups.
The Social Bar & Bistro restaurant can accommodate 80 people and can be divided to suit different occasions, for example as a chambre séparée for private groups. Breakfast is served in the historic building’s dining room with space for 120 guests. Together, these spaces can accommodate up to 200 breakfast guests, or in the evening serve dinner for 200 seated guests. Guests also have access to a bar, lounge, garage, a well-equipped gym and a terrace with space for 44 people.
