Styr & Ställ is Gothenburg and Mölndal’s bike-sharing system, with turquoise seven-speed bikes available at more than 135 stations around the city. During the summer, temporary stations are also added at several popular bathing spots and excursion destinations.
Getting started is easy. Download the Nextbike app, create an account and scan the QR code on the bike at the station. You will receive a code and can unlock the bike directly using the bike computer.
If you need to stop along the way, you can put the bike into parking mode. The bike will be locked, but your rental period will continue until you are ready to ride on. When you are finished, return the bike to an official Styr & Ställ station. To avoid extra charges, always make sure to end your trip in the right place.
Price: An annual pass costs SEK 300 and a monthly pass costs SEK 90.
During summer 2026, temporary stations will be available in places that make it easier to combine cycling with swimming, day trips and public transport.
