The public pool is temporarily closed due to renovations. It will open again summer 2023.

Since summer 2015, the people of Gothenburg have a new favorite place to cool off on hot days. The pool is located in Frihamnen, on the Hisingen side of the river Göta Älv. It is 20 meters long, 8 meters wide and open to all who want to take a dip.

Since 2022, a new larger harbour bath is being constructed. The new bath includes the existing pool, as well as a longer pool for swim workouts, a round pool for diving and a sun deck for hanging out. This new area will be ready in time for Gothenburg’s Anniversary Celebrations in the summer of 2023.

The bath is part of Gothenburg’s 400th anniversary and has been built as a response to Gothenburgers’ desire to get closer to the water.
