Viva Sounds – International club festival
Viva Sounds is an international club festival, a music conference, and a musical meeting place, held for the ninth time. The live programme will present over 100 shows and around 100 acts giving it their all on 17 venues within walking distance, with capacities ranging from 50 to 1,000 people. Viva Sounds is about meeting and celebrating live music – smiles, concerts, and sticky floors.
Venues and line-up
Gothenburg’s indie festival lights up the city’s iconic venues with pulsing live music. From Pustervik to Oceanen and Hängmattan, it’s where music, culture, and community vibe together for a few magical days.

A couple of the venues are free to enter, these are; The Abyss, 2Lång, Skivhandeln, Holy Moly, Eli´s Corner and Fyrens Ölkafé.
The conference
The conference is held at four venues along Andra Långgatan and takes place in bars and restaurants to create an open environment for conversations and meetings. Last year, more than 250 delegates from over 20 countries took part. The conference is open to everyone, and anyone interested can purchase a ticket. Viva Sounds 2026
Viva Sounds 2026 is the ninth edition of the festival, organised by Westside Music – a platform representing around 60 local indie labels in and around Gothenburg. The programme is built in three parts: one third from the local scene, one third through national collaborations, and one third from international connections. The selection is based on relationships rather than titles, creating a close and accessible context.
