Åstol
Åstol is a small, car-free island gem in Bohuslän, located between Tjörn and Marstrand. Here, white wooden houses climb closely together along the cliffs, and the old fishing village has a long history that stretches back to the 18th century. The island is reached by ferry from Rönnäng and offers a lively summer offering with a café, smokehouse and gallery. Here you can count on salty swimming in a rock pool and walks through winding alleys.
If you want to experience the smokehouse on Åstol without going to the island, you can actually visit Feskekörka where you’ll find the sister restaurant Lilla Åstols Rökeri.

The area has a 19th-century atmosphere and is popular with both tourists and locals. Haga Nygata, the central pedestrian street, offers a wide range of cafes, shops and antique shops.

Various events and activities for the whole family are organized here throughout the year.

Champagnebaren
Experience one of Gothenburg’s perhaps most beautiful and leafy courtyards in the middle of the city center. Here you’ll find Champagnebaren, whose basic philosophy since they opened has been that champagne should be good, accessible and unsnobbish. In recent years, the premises have been renovated and the restaurant kitchen has been expanded, which means that they can now focus even more on the food. In terms of food, the restaurant focuses on fish and seafood, and of course also really good champagne and sparkling wine. In the spring and summer, the outdoor seating is filled with food and drink-hungry guests, and sometimes live bands play in the courtyard. During the colder seasons, blankets and patio heaters are available for those who wish to sit outside.

Gunnebo House and Gardens

The harbour area and guest harbour are bustling with life in the summer with plenty of nice natural harbours and sandy beaches. About 500 meters from the guest harbour you’ll find a child-friendly swimming area at Eravik. The guest harbour has sea kayak rentals, a grocery store, barbecue area, tennis court and boules court. Skansen Kronan
Skansen Kronan is a historic fortress located on a hill in the area around Haga and Linné in Gothenburg. The fortress was built between 1687 and 1700 and was then equipped with 23 cannons, but was never involved in combat. During the 19th century, it served as a prison and later as emergency housing. In the 20th century, it functioned as a military museum. Today, Skansen Kronan is used for weddings, parties, conferences and Christmas parties in the unique Cannon Hall, with panoramic views of Gothenburg. In the summer, the area around the fortress is a popular excursion destination, perfect for a picnic with one of Gothenburg’s best views.
